More Questions

Let us continue to muse from Amos 3: 1-6 and the questions God asked through Amos. In verse four we find the question, will a lion roar in the forest, when he hath no prey? We know from a study of the Bible that the lion is a type of Satan. We find from nature’s study that the lion does not roar until he has his prey. Peter said, that our adversary the devil is as a roaring lion, walking about seeking whom he may devour. The word devour means to make a meal of. Satan is seeking day and night to make a meal out of our lives. If you hear him roar it is to late he already has you. Peter says for us to be sober and viligant. These are terms of a watchman who is always on guard. I am no match for Satan and his tricks. I must ever depend upon Christ to be my tower of refuge to hide in when Satan seeks me out for to make of me a meal.
